Guitars For Beginners

If you are a complete stranger when it comes to guitars, it will help you to get all details and get to know all about the guitars and becomes a great player.

Taylor Academy A12e

Taylor Academy A12e

As entry-level beginners’ models go, this is more premium than the rest of the guitars.  It sports a Grand Concert body made from solid Sitka spruce on the top, with laminate sapele back and sides, along with a mahogany armrest for optimal ergonomics.

Seagull S6

Seagull S6

The S6 is a popular steel-string acoustic that’s often touted as one of the best models for learning to play guitar – and we’re inclined to agree. Crafted with quality body woods, it features a solid cedar top with a wild cherry back and produces a dynamic sound with a good mid-range that projects wonderfully.

Yamaha FG830

Yamaha FG830

The guitar features a naturally finished solid spruce top with rosewood back and sides, as well as a nato neck, smooth rosewood fretboard, and 20 frets. For an affordable guitar, the sound is surprisingly high-end, with excellent projection, a rich tone, and good dynamic range. It’s comfortable to hold and very slick to play.

Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat

Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat

The guitar features a naturally finished solid mahogany top, with scallop bracing, as well as mahogany back and sides. There’s a maple neck with satin-finished rosewood fretboard, decorated with a Hellcat and double-skull inlays, with Tim’s signature adorning the headstock.

Luna Gypsy Muse Student Guitar

Luna Gypsy Muse Student Guitar

This Muse from Luna’s cool Gypsy series is a real treat. With an affordable price tag, Luna still offers an end-product that feels high quality in terms of look and feel. With a lightweight and comfortable parlor body, the Gypsy Muse is made with spruce and mahogany laminates, and features a lovely sleek satin mahogany neck, with a full 20 frets.

The Right Approach!

As a beginner, you will want something that first and foremost feels comfortable and fun to play sounds good and will hold its tuning reasonably well. It doesn’t necessarily have to be an expensive guitar.

Guitar/Different Types of Guitars

Acoustic Guitars

There are two types of acoustic guitar namely the steel-string acoustic guitar and the classical guitar. Steel-string acoustic guitars produce a metallic sound that is a distinctive component of a wide range of popular genres. Steel-string acoustic guitars are sometimes referred to as flat tops. The word top refers to the face or front of the guitar which is called the table. Classical guitars have a wider neck than steel-string guitars and are strung with nylon strings. They are primarily associated with the playing of the solo classical guitar repertoire. Classical guitars are sometimes referred to as Spanish guitars in recognition of their country of origin.

The acoustic guitar lends itself to a variety of tasks and roles. Its portability and ease of use make it the ideal songwriter's tool. Its gentle harp-like arpeggios and rhythmic chordal strumming has always found favor in an ensemble. The acoustic guitar has a personal and intimate quality that is suited to small halls, churches and private spaces. For larger venues some form of amplification is required. An acoustic guitar can be amplified by placing a microphone in front of the sound hole or by installing a pickup. There are many entry-level acoustic guitar models that are manufactured to a high standard and these are entirely suitable as a first guitar for a beginner. ELONGATE

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars are solid-bodied guitars that are designed to be plugged into an amplifier. The electric guitar when amplified produces a sound that is metallic with a lengthy decay. The shape of an electric guitar is not determined by the need for a deep resonating body and this had led to the development of contoured and thin bodied electric guitars. The two most popular designs are the Fender Stratocaster and the Gibson Les Paul.
Electric guitar strings are thinner than acoustic guitar strings and closer to the neck and therefore less force is needed to press them down. The ease with which you can bend strings, clear access to the twelfth position, the use of a whammy bar and the manipulation of pots and switches whilst playing has led to the development of a lead guitar style that is unique to the instrument. Fret-tapping is a guitar technique for creating chords and melody lines that are not possible using the standard technique of left-hand fretting and right-hand strumming.

Basic C Guitar Chord (C Major Chord)

Basic C Guitar Chord (C Major Chord) The 2nd basic beginner guitar chord you should learn is C, or C major. You don’t have to say “major” in the name of the chord. If you just say C chord it’s assumed that it’s a major chord. You only want to strum the top 5 strings (that means the highest sounding 5 strings, not their relationship to the floor) The X in the guitar chord chart means not to play that string, or to mute it.
